Solution & Technology Architect (Airline Domain)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Purpose of the Role The purpose of this role is to develop solution architecture across airline domains such as Commercial, Customer, Digital, Cargo, Airport, Engineering, and enterprise platforms. Working within assigned value streams, the architect will define solution intents aligned with regulatory requirements, architecture standards, business needs, budgets, and IT strategy. This role plays a key part in the Agile transformation journey, delivering cost-effective, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions. Infrastructure engineers not required. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities Design and own end-to-end, holistic solution architecture aligned with enterprise standards and best practices Create solution intent and low-level design artifacts (ICDs, ICMs, etc.) Define and implement architecture patterns, standards, and enablers for value streams Deliver solution architecture across Agile and Waterfall models, ensuring innovation, speed, and cost efficiency Ensure adherence to architecture governance, principles, and Well-Architected Framework Collaborate with stakeholders across DTI to align solutions with technology roadmaps, business capabilities, and strategy Drive microservices and SOA-based architecture adoption Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance business value and delivery efficiency Contribute to improving architecture practice maturity, standards, and governance Support and maintain business capability models Work closely with business and engineering teams to ensure solutions are implemented as designed Desired Candidate Profile Required Skills & Experience 14+ years of overall experience with strong architecture expertise 4–5 years of experience in Solution Architecture / Solutioning roles Mandatory expertise in: Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF – Required) Microservices Architecture Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Strong experience in designing enterprise-scale distributed systems Solid understanding of integration patterns and API-based architectures Experience with full SDLC (Agile & Waterfall) Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Experience working in large enterprise organizations preferred Technology Stack Open to .NET / Java / similar enterprise technologies Infrastructure experience not required Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field TOGAF Certification – Mandatory Additional certifications preferred: SAFe Architect Well-Architected Frameworks Open Certified Architect / ISEB Preferred / Nice to Have Experience in Airline domain (PSS, Airport Operations, Cargo, Customer Platforms, Engineering, etc.) Exposure to SAFe Agile methodology Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs Interview Process Round 1: Technical Discussion Round 2: Case Study Ideal Candidate Profile Strong enterprise architect with solutioning expertise Experience in complex, integration-heavy environments Ability to bridge business and technical architecture Proven experience in delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions Employment Type Full Time Company Industry RecruitmentPlacement FirmExecutive Search Department / Functional Area DBADatawarehousing (IT Software) Keywords Technology ArchitectSenior Technology ArchitectIT ArchitectSystems ArchitectTechnical ArchitectEnterprise ArchitectureTechnology LeadAirline ITIT StrategySolution Designer Get real-time job updates only on our App
