Engineering Manager
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We're hiring an experienced, people-first Engineering Manager to lead one or more engineering teams. You'll own team delivery, health, and growth sitting at the intersection of people leadership, agile execution, and technical credibility. If you thrive on removing blockers, building reliable delivery rhythms, and genuinely investing in your team, this role is for you. Lead regular 1:1s, performance evaluations, and career growth plans for all direct reports Foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement Drive end-to-end planning and execution of engineering features, epics, and milestones Partner with Product Managers to define realistic sprint goals and timelines Lead sprint grooming, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and delivery follow-ups Define quarterly and annual engineering goals in collaboration with the CTO and Product Own and track KPIs related to delivery, quality, and team performance Provide clear, proactive status reports, risk forecasts, and capacity updates to leadership Collaborate with Technical Leads on design decisions, roadmaps, and architecture reviews Participate in code reviews, incident analysis, and performance reviews as needed Own and coordinate resolution of engineering support tickets triaged by severity and impact Lead post-incident reviews and drive long-term fixes to reduce recurring support volume Manage timesheets and working hours for distributed and remote team members Keep remote teams aligned, engaged, and accountable through structured collaboration rituals 4+ years of experience in engineering management or an equivalent leadership role Strong technical background in .NET Core, microservices, and event-driven architecture Solid knowledge of AWS including cost management, service monitoring, and security Proven experience with agile methodologies, delivery planning, and execution tracking Hands-on experience managing support processes and incident response Experience managing remote and distributed engineering teams Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder reporting skills Comfortable presenting status updates, forecasts, and risk reports to senior leadership Proven ability in problem-solving, performance optimisation, and API monitoring A genuine people-first mindset with a track record of mentoring and growing engineers Competitive salary package aligned to the UAE market Visa sponsorship provided Health insurance coverage Real opportunity to grow with the business and take on expanded responsibilities over time Be part of Bamboo Card's next chapter as we scale our platform and expand across new markets Work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial team that values ownership and impact Desired Candidate Profile Company Industry InternetE-CommerceDotcom Department / Functional Area Engineering Keywords Engineering Manager Get real-time job updates only on our App
