BPM Developer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior BPM / Workflow Platform Developer to design and build enterprise-grade workflow automation and process orchestration solutions for complex business operations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BPM/workflow platforms, human task management, workflow orchestration, SLA/escalation handling, and enterprise integrations. This role requires strong backend engineering capabilities along with the ability to design configurable, reusable, and scalable workflow-centric platforms. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver robust workflow solutions integrated with enterprise systems and BPM engines such as webMethods BPM or similar platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and develop enterprise BPM/workflow automation solutions Build reusable and configurable workflow orchestration frameworks Develop workflow templates, process models, and task orchestration capabilities Implement human task lifecycle management including approvals, reassignments, escalations, and queue management Design SLA, escalation, reminder, and calendar-aware workflow processing Develop routing and assignment strategies based on business rules and organizational hierarchy Integrate BPM/workflow systems with enterprise applications, APIs, middleware, and external services Design and implement audit trails, workflow tracking, runtime monitoring, and reporting capabilities Develop REST APIs and backend services for workflow operations and runtime control Collaborate with architects and business teams to translate process requirements into scalable workflow solutions Contribute to workflow platform architecture, engineering standards, and best practices Support workflow deployments, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production stability Required Skills Strong hands-on experience in BPM, workflow automation, or process orchestration platforms Expertise in workflow lifecycle management and BPMN-based process modeling Strong understanding of: Workflow orchestration Human task management SLA and escalation handling Workflow routing and assignment strategies Process abstraction and configurable workflow design Strong backend development experience using: Java Spring Boot Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations Good knowledge of asynchronous/event-driven architectures and messaging systems Strong database and schema design skills Experience with audit logging, workflow runtime tracking, and monitoring Good understanding of exception handling, retries, idempotency, and correlation handling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desired Candidate Profile Hands-on experience with webMethods BPM Experience with IBM BPM, Camunda, Flowable, jBPM, or similar workflow platforms Exposure to enterprise integration technologies and middleware systems Experience with Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or messaging platforms Knowledge of distributed systems and scalable enterprise architecture Exposure to workflow platform engineering and reusable orchestration layers Employment Type Full Time Company Industry IT - Software Services Department / Functional Area IT Software Keywords WebMethods Designer BPMBPM Solutions EngineerProcess AutomationJava/J2EEWorkflow DevelopmentIBM BPMMicroservices Get real-time job updates only on our App
