Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About Tap Tap Payments is revolutionizing online payments across the MENA region by connecting businesses with simple, unified payment experiences. We need exceptional talent to help us on this journey. The Technology Team Our technology team builds the platforms, systems, and payment infrastructure our merchants use to process millions of transactions daily. This team is building technology solutions to simplify MENA payments regionally and globally for businesses of all sizes. As a Tapster you will: Automate server provisioning, configuration, and OS setup Develop scripts for patching, upgrades, and system maintenance Automate backup processes and periodic recovery validation Build automation for disaster recovery (DR) execution and failover workflows Create auto-healing mechanisms for common system failures (restart services, scale resources, etc.) Integrate automation with monitoring tools (event-driven automation) Standardize system configurations and golden images Support failover readiness by automating environment synchronization Automate DR drills and reporting (RTO/RPO validation) Maintain reusable automation templates and scripts Collaborate with DevOps for infrastructure standardization (without owning CI/CD) Document automation workflows, recovery procedures, and runbooks What you will bring to the party: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in Systems Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Operations, or a similar role. Strong experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies. Hands-on experience with configuration management, system provisioning, and infrastructure automation tools. Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity processes. Experience integrating automation with monitoring and alerting platforms. Strong understanding of server lifecycle management and operational best practices. Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement sustainable solutions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams. Experience working within hybrid, on-premises, cloud, or multi-cloud environments is preferred.
