Mining Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Mine Planning & Development Prepare and implement short-term, medium-term, and long-term mine plans. Design quarry benches, haul roads, dumping areas, and extraction sequences. Monitor quarry reserves and ensure optimum utilization of mineral resources. Conduct geological and topographical assessments to support production planning. Prepare production forecasts and mine development schedules. Production Management Plan, monitor, and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly limestone production targets. Ensure uninterrupted supply of limestone to meet plant requirements. Analyze production data and identify opportunities for productivity improvement. Coordinate drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, and transportation activities. Monitor production costs and implement cost-control measures. Equipment Management Supervise the operation and utilization of mining equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks, drills, dozers, and crushers. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability. Monitor equipment performance, fuel consumption, and operational efficiency. Recommend equipment upgrades and fleet optimization strategies. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with mining regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to safe work practices. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary. Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Maintain all required mining records and statutory documentation. Reporting & Coordination Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and plant teams to achieve operational objectives. Support management in budgeting, resource planning, and operational improvements. Desired Candidate Profile Limestone Quarrying, Mining Operations, Aggregate Mining. Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of quarry management software and mine planning tools. Experience Minimum 8+ years of experience in limestone quarry operations. Proven experience in mine planning, quarry production management, and equipment handling. Experience in drilling and blasting operations will be an advantage.
