Estimation and Quantity Survey Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Estimation and Quantity Survey Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates quantity take offs tender submissions and commercial evaluations for construction and EPC projects. The role requires detailed analysis of drawings specifications and contract documents to ensure competitive pricing and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Review tender documents drawings specifications and contract requirements. Prepare detailed quantity take offs for civil architectural structural mechanical electrical plumbing and infrastructure works. Develop accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules based on project scope and market conditions. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers subcontractors and service providers. Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions within specified deadlines. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering exercises to improve project competitiveness. Assist in preparing project budgets cash flow forecasts and cost plans. Monitor project costs and compare actual expenditures against approved budgets. Prepare variation orders claims and supporting commercial documentation. Evaluate subcontractor payment applications and verify quantities executed on site. Assist in contract administration and commercial management activities. Maintain databases of material costs labour rates subcontractor pricing and historical project data. Coordinate with engineering procurement and project management teams during tendering and execution stages. Support management with commercial reports forecasts and project financial analysis.. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related discipline. Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in estimation quantity surveying and commercial management within construction or EPC projects. Strong experience in preparing detailed quantity take offs and cost estimates. Excellent understanding of construction methods materials and project execution requirements. Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and contract documents. Strong knowledge of tendering procedures contract administration and cost control practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity take off software. Experience with construction management and estimating software is an advantage. Strong analytical numerical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and commercial awareness. UAE experience is preferred. Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
