Senior Application SharePoint Architect

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Architect / Microsoft Technologies Consultant to lead the architecture, development, migration, security, and support of enterprise applications, portals, and digital banking solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint, Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, application security, cloud migrations, and enterprise integrations within a banking or large enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities Application Architecture & Development Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, internet banking portals, and digital channel solutions. Define application architecture, technical specifications, and design standards. Prepare and maintain application documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical design documents. Develop customized features, services, workflows, templates, and integrations based on business requirements. Participate in application enhancement initiatives from requirement gathering through production deployment. Integration & Cloud Services Design and implement integrations with banking applications, third-party systems, and digital channels. Utilize Microsoft Azure services for application integration, automation, and cloud-native solutions. Support application modernization and migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms. Ensure seamless connectivity between enterprise systems and external services. SharePoint Administration & Migration Administer and maintain SharePoint environments, including farm management and performance optimization. Lead SharePoint migration projects, including SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019 migrations using ShareGate. Implement governance, security, backup, and recovery strategies for SharePoint environments. Support SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions. Security & Compliance Manage application security, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities. Conduct code reviews using tools such as Veracode, FxCop, and other security analysis platforms. Implement secure coding standards and application security best practices. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements. Power Platform & Reporting Develop business applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate. Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI. Support reporting requirements using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Disaster Recovery & Infrastructure Design and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture and recovery procedures. Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to ensure application availability and resilience. Manage firewall configurations, network communication requirements, and application connectivity. Change & Release Management Participate in change management processes for application enhancements and production releases. Coordinate business testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment planning, and production rollouts. Provide post-deployment support and issue resolution. Agile Delivery & Support Work within Agile/Scrum teams for application development and enhancement projects. Provide application support, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and performance tuning. Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives. Desired Candidate Profile Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture, development, and administration. Strong expertise in: SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online Microsoft 365 Administration Microsoft Azure Services Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core REST APIs and Web Services SQL Server and SSRS Application Security and Secure Coding Practices Experience with ShareGate migration projects. Experience with code quality and security tools such as Veracode and FxCop. Knowledge of DR planning, infrastructure design, and high availability solutions. Understanding of firewall, networking, and application communication protocols. Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Microsoft 365 Certified certifications. Power Platform certifications. SharePoint or Microsoft Collaboration Platform certifications. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application development.
