Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Platform & Kubernetes Administrator to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the Kubernetes-based container platform supporting the DGSN Morocco program. The ideal candidate will be the primary L2 escalation point for container orchestration and runtime issues, working closely with infrastructure and application support teams to maintain platform health and availability. This role requires strong Kubernetes expertise and a proactive mindset in identifying and resolving platform anomalies in a shift-based environment. Key Responsibilities Kubernetes & Container Platform Operations Operate and monitor Kubernetes clusters during assigned shifts, ensuring availability and performance. Support daily health checks of all platform components including pods, nodes, and cluster resources. Monitor cluster health, resource usage, scheduling behavior, and persistent volume states. Restart, reschedule, or scale workloads in accordance with established operational procedures. Incident Management & L2 Escalation Serve as the primary L2 escalation point for container and orchestration-related incidents. Perform L2 troubleshooting for pod, node, and cluster-level issues. Review Kubernetes and container logs to detect anomalies and identify root causes. Assist infrastructure and application support teams during incidents requiring platform-level investigation. Escalate complex or recurring issues to the product or engineering teams with complete technical documentation. Maintenance & Platform Improvement Support upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance activities. Contribute to runbook updates and operational procedure documentation. Participate in post-incident reviews and recommend preventive actions. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of hands-on Kubernetes administration experience in production environments. Strong Linux system administration skills (Red Hat-based systems preferred). Experience with containerized application operations (Docker, containerd). Familiarity with Helm charts, Kubernetes RBAC, namespaces, and resource quotas. Experience working in production, shift-based, or on-call environments. Ability to analyze logs, events, and metrics from Kubernetes-native and third-party monitoring tools. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux). Knowledge of service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) is a plus. Scripting proficiency in Bash or Python for automation and operational tooling. Familiarity with ITSM processes and incident management workflows. Languages: English, French and Arabic is strongly preferred given the Morocco deployment context. Domain Knowledge (Preferred) Public Safety & Security Platforms: Experience administering container platforms for government, law enforcement, or national security systems is a strong advantage. Exposure to high-availability, latency-sensitive platform environments in regulated sectors is desirable. Digital Identity & API Systems: Familiarity with platforms supporting digital identity, API gateways, or biometric data processing workflows adds significant value to this role within the DGSN program context.
