AMI System Operator
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Monitors and manages AMI systems including Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management (MDM), and communication networks. Ensures continuous and seamless communication between smart meters and central systems. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves AMI system issues related to connectivity, data flow, and system performance. Escalates complex or unresolved technical issues to higher support levels or vendors following defined procedures. Analyzes AMI operational data to provide system performance insights and operational reports. Performs first-level diagnosis of communication failures and network performance degradation. Coordinates with IT, metering, telecom, and field teams to ensure system reliability and performance. Supports system configuration, updates, and minor enhancements under supervision. Maintains system logs, incident records, and operational documentation. Ensures compliance with ISO, ISMS, BCMS, and cyber security policies related to system operations. Ensures adherence to corporate Health and Safety and operational procedures. Performs any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in AMI system monitoring, MDM/HES operations, or similar environments. Proficiency in AMI systems and operational software tools. Knowledge of smart metering technologies and communication Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills. Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
