Senior Database Administrator – Oracle

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Database Administration & Operations Manage and support Oracle database (19c/26ai) environments Ensure high availability and reliability using RAC Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes Security, Compliance & Hardening Implement database security best practices including TDE and access controls Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks · Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls for databases Patch & Vulnerability Management Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments Work with enterprise patching tools Maintain and document the patch execution tracker. Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams Support change management and release activities Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts On-Call Support Actively participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration Desired Candidate Profile 4–7 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration Strong expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with RAC and DR solutions Knowledge of database security, compliance, and hardening practices Experience in enterprise patch management tools.
