Engineer - GRC (Space42)
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to ensure that all requests for features and functionality on ServiceNow are delivered according to best practice, are documented for future maintenance and improvement, and that user instructions are provided for end user training. This requires the following skills and abilities: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow development. Advanced technical understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools. Configure, develop and customize the ServiceNow platform based on business requirements. Integration of ServiceNow platform with other enterprise systems and automate workflows. Provide technical support and troubleshoot platform-related issues. Manage data within the platform and generate reports. Train users and provide ongoing support for solutions deployed on the ServiceNow platform. Ensure compliance with security standards and corporate policies. Responsibilities: Key tasks to perform: Development and Configuration: Design and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform using client scripts, business rules, UI policies. Develop using standard ServiceNow tools, ex. Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, UI Builder, Now Create. Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements. Maintain and update the platform as needed. Integration and Automation: Build integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub and MID server. Connect ServiceNow with third-party systems, ex. Monitoring system, HR system etc. Build orchestration and automated workflows to improve process efficiency and accuracy. Ensure seamless data flow between the ServiceNow platform and other systems. Custom Application Development: Develop scoped applications using App Engine Studio, Now Create etc. Create custom tables, forms, and workflows. Build end-to-end business solutions beyond out-of-the-box modules. Testing and Deployment: Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing. Good experience in deploying update sets and handling conflicts. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues. User Training and Support: Train stakeholders and solution requestors on how to effectively use the developed solutions. Develop user guides and training materials. Provide ongoing support and assistance to platform users. Compliance and Security: Ensure the developed solutions comply with relevant security standards and regulations. Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the platform. Continuous Improvement: Identify trends and recurring issues to implement preventive measures. JOB DIMENSIONS: Key responsibility is the design and development of requests logged in our pipeline tracker. Objectives are to: Design, develop and deploy solutions on ServiceNow based on solid technical understanding. Ensure business requirements are documented, evaluated and converted to technical design. Deliver configuration and development of ServiceNow features, functionality and integrations needed to support the business processes. The role will work directly with other ServiceNow platform team members and ITIL process owners and will work closely with specialists across both IT department and corporate organization in general Qualifications: EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-ITOM) are highly desirable. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in a technical ServiceNow developer role.
