Senior Front End Developer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to design and deliver high-quality, semantic, and accessible web applications using modern technologies such as React.js and Next.js. This role focuses on building reusable components, ensuring responsive and performant user experiences, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive digital products. What you ll do Develop semantic and accessible UI components following established best practices and accessibility standards Ensure responsive design and optimal performance across multiple devices and screen sizes Participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards and share knowledge within the team Continuously improve and refactor the codebase to enhance performance and maintainability Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end issues and performance bottlenecks Stay informed on front-end trends, tools, and technologies, sharing insights with colleagues Maintain clear documentation for code, processes, and technical decisions Perform manual testing across browsers to ensure compatibility and usability What skills you will learn Advanced front-end architecture using React.js and Next.js Accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices Performance optimisation techniques for large-scale applications Cross-browser compatibility strategies and testing approaches Best practices in reusable component design and design systems Collaborative development workflows and peer review techniques Desired Candidate Profile Who you are Minimum 3 years of relevant front-end development experience Strong understanding of semantic HTML5, CSS3, and accessibility best practices Solid knowledge of core JavaScript concepts (ES6+) independent of frameworks Proficiency in React.js and Next.js, with understanding of their core principles Experience in responsive design and ensuring cross-browser compatibility Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimise code Detail-oriented with a focus on maintainability and high-quality outputs Collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for knowledge sharing and continuous learning Not a perfect fit?
