Solution Architect/ Lead - Outsystems

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in OutSystems and a solid understanding of the Healthcare domain to lead the technical design and delivery of low-code solutions for healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with scalable, secure, and compliant technical architectures, while effectively coordinating between onsite teams, internal stakeholders, and offshore delivery teams. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end solution architecture for OutSystems-based applications, from requirements gathering through design, development guidance, and deployment Translate complex healthcare business requirements (clinical workflows, patient data management, interoperability) into scalable, compliant technical solutions Define and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices across OutSystems projects Own integration architecture connecting OutSystems applications with legacy hospital systems, EHR/EMR platforms, HL7/FHIR interfaces, and third-party healthcare systems Ensure solutions comply with relevant healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA or regional equivalents) Lead and mentor technical teams, including offshore developers, ensuring architectural alignment and delivery quality Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, providing architecture walkthroughs, technical risk assessments, and solution recommendations Conduct code and architecture reviews to ensure performance, scalability, security, and maintainability Support presales and proposal activities with technical scoping, effort estimation, and solution design as needed Stay current with OutSystems platform updates, healthcare technology trends, and AI-enablement opportunities within low-code environments Desired Candidate Profile 8+ years of experience in software architecture/development, with 3+ years hands-on OutSystems experience (Service Studio, Integration Studio, architecture canvas, performance tuning) OutSystems certification(s) strongly preferred (Associate/Professional/Expert level) Demonstrated experience delivering solutions within the Healthcare industry (hospital systems, payer/provider platforms, clinical applications, or health-tech products) Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and data privacy/compliance requirements Proven experience architecting integrations between low-code platforms and legacy/enterprise systems Experience leading and coordinating distributed teams, including offshore delivery Strong client-facing communication skills able to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Experience with AI/ML-enabled application features within OutSystems or adjacent platforms Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices for OutSystems deployments Prior experience in a regional (GCC/MEA) healthcare technology engagement Experience working in a presales or solutioning capacity alongside delivery responsibilities Key Competencies Strong analytical and architectural thinking, independent of any single platform Healthcare domain fluency able to speak credibly to clinical and operational stakeholders Leadership and mentorship capability across onsite and offshore teams Ability to manage ambiguity and translate evolving requirements into stable technical direction Adaptability to emerging technologies (AI, low-code evolution) and rapid upskilling capability Company Industry MedicalHealthcareDiagnosticsMedical Devices Department / Functional Area IT Software Keywords Solution Architect/ Lead - Outsystems Get real-time job updates only on our App
