Accountant (Jewellery/Retail)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant Accounts to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in jewellery sector or retail, ensuring smooth financial operations, compliance, and reporting. Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and variance analysis for jewellery businesses. Handle VAT calculations, filings, and compliance with UAE tax regulations. Conduct bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and budgeting. Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards. Oversee cost control, inventory valuation, and stock reconciliations for the jewellery division or Monitor project costings, revenue recognition, and lease agreements for the real estate division. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for fund management. Implement and improve financial controls and processes. Support senior management with financial insights for decision-making. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus). Min 2 years of experience in accounting in jewellery only. Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT regulations, and UAE financial laws. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or ERP systems). Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
