Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities that support the Company's growth objectives. The role focuses on generating qualified business opportunities by engaging prospective clients, introducing the Company's services, understanding their initial requirements, and arranging meetings with the technical team for further business discussions. The Business Development Officer serves as the link between the Company's marketing activities and its technical team by converting potential leads into qualified opportunities. The role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills to maintain an active sales pipeline and ensure continuous engagement with prospective clients throughout the early stages of the business development process. Key Responsibilities Identify and engage prospective clients through marketing leads, referrals, market research, databases, networking activities, and direct prospecting. Conduct initial communications with potential clients to introduce the Company's services and capabilities. Understand clients' preliminary requirements and identify potential business opportunities aligned with the Company's services. Qualify prospective clients and coordinate meetings between clients and the Company's technical team. Maintain regular follow-up with prospective clients to ensure continuous engagement throughout the pre-proposal stage. Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate client information, communications, and opportunity status. Coordinate with the Marketing and Technical teams to ensure effective communication and timely follow-up. Support the preparation and coordination of proposals, presentations, and business development materials when required. Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging business opportunities, and provide regular feedback to management. Represent the Company professionally during meetings, networking events, exhibitions, and other business development activities. Prepare periodic reports summarizing business development activities, lead status, and market observations. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, client relations, or customer engagement, preferably within engineering consultancy, construction, real estate, or related industries. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent relationship-building and client engagement abilities. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with CRM systems is an advantage. Good understanding of the UAE business environment and professional communication practices. Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English, both spoken and written. UAE driving licence is preferred.
