Chiller Technician

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Install, test, commission, and maintain chiller systems and HVAC equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air-cooled and water-cooled chillers. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Monitor chiller performance and ensure efficient system operation. Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and control systems. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operation manuals. Handle refrigerant charging, leak testing, and pressure testing. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and project teams for site activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and daily work records. Desired Candidate Profile A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in HVAC or refrigeration is preferred. Certification in HVAC technology or refrigeration (e.g., EPA Section is highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with chiller systems in commercial or industrial settings. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
