Civil / Fit-Out Engineer (Dubai)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all civil and interior fit-out activities on site. Ensure works are executed according to: o Approved drawings o Project specifications o Method statements o Quality standards o Project schedules Manage and supervise: o Blockwork o Concrete works o Plastering o Tiling o Painting o Ceiling works o Partition works o Flooring works o Joinery installations o Finishing works Review and coordinate: o Shop drawings o Material submittals o Method statements o As-built drawings Coordinate with: o Project managers o Consultants o Architects o MEP teams o Subcontractors o Suppliers Monitor site progress and prepare daily and weekly progress reports. Conduct site inspections and ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with project specifications. Ensure compliance with: o Dubai Municipality regulations o Consultant requirements o Health & Safety standards o Company procedures Verify site measurements and quantities before execution and material ordering. Coordinate civil and fit-out works with MEP services to avoid conflicts and delays. Prepare and submit: o RFIs o Inspection requests o Material requests o Site reports Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, materials, and productivity on site. Assist procurement team in technical evaluations and material approvals. Identify technical issues and provide practical site solutions. Attend project meetings and coordinate with all stakeholders regarding project progress and technical matters. Ensure snagging items and corrective works are completed properly and on time. Support testing, inspections, and project handover activities. Maintain proper project documentation and records. Desired Candidate Profile Skills & Requirements Strong knowledge of: o Civil construction works o Interior fit-out works o Finishing materials and installation methods o Construction sequencing and coordination Ability to read and interpret: o Architectural drawings o Structural drawings o Shop drawings o MEP coordination drawings Proficient in: o AutoCAD o MS Office Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities. Knowledge of Dubai construction standards and authority regulations is preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 4 to 6 years of UAE experience in construction and interior fit-out projects. Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail fit-out projects is preferred. UAE Driving License is an advantage.
