Civil Technical Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating all project activities. Prepare and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion of works. Maintain and control all project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, material approvals, and correspondence. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, meeting minutes, and project status updates. Coordinate communication between the client, consultant, contractor, and internal departments. Follow up on meetings, site inspections, and approval processes to ensure smooth project flow. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material submittals, approvals, and deliveries. Ensure that all site activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Support the site team in maintaining quality and safety documentation. Coordinate with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, DDA, and Nakheel for necessary submissions and approvals. Track project progress and identify potential risks or delays, reporting them for corrective action. Monitor manpower, equipment, and subcontractor performance for efficiency and cost control. Assist in preparing payment applications, variation claims, and cost tracking reports. Ensure proper coordination among civil, MEP, and architectural disciplines at all stages. Follow up on consultant comments and ensure timely compliance and resubmissions. Participate in site coordination meetings and provide updates to management. Assist in preparing as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documents. Ensure all snagging, testing, and final inspections are completed prior to project handover. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction projects, preferably in the UAE. Strong understanding of construction processes, project coordination, and documentation control. Good knowledge of project specifications, drawings, and authority approval procedures (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Nakheel, etc.). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (MS Project or Primavera preferred). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and site teams. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in construction. Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of taking initiative with minimal supervision.
