Electrical Engineer -(Construction - Fit-Out Projects)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Title: Electrical Engineer Main Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and manage all electrical works at project sites in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and Dubai regulations. Review and coordinate: o Electrical shop drawings o Load schedules o Technical submittals o Material approvals o Method statements Coordinate with: o Project managers o Consultants o Civil and MEP teams o Subcontractors o Suppliers o Local authorities Ensure proper installation and execution of: o Power systems o Lighting systems o Cable containment systems o Earthing and lightning protection systems o Emergency lighting systems o Low current systems (ELV) o Fire alarm systems Monitor project progress and ensure electrical works are completed according to project timelines and quality standards. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with: o DEWA regulations o Dubai Municipality requirements o Civil Defense requirements o Project specifications o Health & Safety standards Prepare and review: o RFIs o Inspection requests o As-built drawings o Testing and commissioning reports o Progress reports Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with consultants and authorities. Verify quantities, material deliveries, and site requirements. Assist procurement team with technical evaluations and material selection. Identify technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution. Attend project meetings and provide technical updates regarding electrical works. Ensure all work is executed according to approved method statements and quality procedures. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements. Support project handover activities and preparation of close-out documentation. Ensure all project documentation is properly maintained and updated. Desired Candidate Profile Skills & Requirements Strong knowledge of: o Electrical systems and installations o DEWA regulations o Dubai construction standards o Testing & commissioning procedures Good understanding of: o MEP coordination o Construction and fit-out works o Low current systems (ELV) Proficient in: o AutoCAD o MS Office o Electrical calculation software (preferred) Ability to read and interpret: o Electrical drawings o MEP drawings o Technical specifications Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in construction and fit-out projects. Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, or high-rise projects is preferred. Knowledge of DEWA and Dubai authority procedures is preferred. UAE Driving License is an advantage.
