Fruits and Vegetable Shop Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring a smooth flow from produce arrival to customer purchase while maintaining freshness and minimizing wastage. Manage inventory efficiently, including stock receiving, stock rotation, quality checks, and spoilage control. Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation of fruits and vegetables at all times. Develop attractive merchandising and display strategies to highlight seasonal products and increase sales. Manage pricing of fruits and vegetables based on market trends and stock movement. Operate and supervise POS billing activities and support cashier operations. Maintain inventory records, daily sales reports, stock reports, and cash reconciliation. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper arrangement of products throughout the shop. Coordinate with suppliers for purchasing, receiving deliveries, and stock replenishment. Lead, train, and supervise staff in customer service, product handling, and daily operational procedures. Handle customer queries and ensure excellent customer service standards. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum 3–5 years experience in retail management, preferably in a fruits & vegetable shop, fresh produce market, or grocery/supermarket. Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling, quality assessment, storage, and seasonal availability. Experience in inventory management, stock rotation, loss prevention, and wastage control for perishable goods. Good knowledge of POS systems and billing procedures. Basic computer knowledge including Excel and Word. Proven leadership skills with experience in staff management, training, scheduling, and performance supervision. Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Arabic speaking is an advantage.
