Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Design Leadership & Project Management Lead and manage interior design projects independently across hospitality, residential, and commercial developments. Develop innovative and functional design concepts aligned with Dugasta’s brand identity, project objectives, and market positioning. Contribute strategically to the growth and structure of the Interior Design department by supporting processes, frameworks, and operational standards. Provide commercially informed design recommendations, market insights, and value-engineering solutions to management. Ensure all projects are delivered in line with design intent, budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Design Development Prepare and oversee: - - - - - - Concept presentations Mood boards Material palettes Space planning layouts FF&E selections 2D/3D presentations and renderings Lead space planning exercises for multiple project typologies while ensuring operational efficiency and user experience. Develop comprehensive design documentation, technical details, and specifications. Technical Coordination Coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, and contractors throughout all project stages. Review and approve technical drawings, shop drawings, schematics, material submittals, and mock-ups to ensure alignment with design intent and project requirements. Manage design coordination between all disciplines to resolve technical and site related challenges efficiently. Direct and support 3D visualizers by providing clear design guidance, technical information, and timely feedback. Developer-Side Responsibilities Represent Dugasta’s interests throughout the design, procurement, and construction phases. Monitor design quality, budget control, procurement coordination, and value engineering initiatives. Participate in consultant and contractor evaluations, tender reviews, and selection processes. Ensure project execution aligns with commercial, operational, and brand objectives. Procurement & FF&E Oversee FF&E documentation, specifications, schedules, and procurement coordination. Liaise with local and international suppliers to source furniture, materials, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with Dugasta’s standards. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms while maintaining quality and budget objectives. Maintain organized procurement records, approvals, and tracking documentation. Site Supervision & Project Delivery Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design execution complies with approved specifications. Support project engineers and contractors during implementation to resolve site related design issues. Ensure all deliverables from the Design department are completed accurately, on schedule, and to Dugasta’s quality standards. Prepare project progress reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management. Branding & Documentation Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, approvals, correspondence, and design records. Prepare brand guideline documentation where required to ensure consistency across projects and client portfolios. Lead the development of branding, wayfinding, and signage concepts as part of the overall project scope. Ensure all approvals, signed documents, and project records are properly organized and archived. AI Integration in Design Utilize AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance creativity, workflow efficiency, and project delivery. - Apply AI tools for: - Concept and image generation - Space planning assistance - Design visualization and rendering - Material and style exploration - Presentation development - Workflow automation and documentation support Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and implement innovative solutions within the design process Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or related field. (Master’s preferred) Mandatory proficiency in Revit. Advanced proficiency in: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PowerPoint Extensive experience using 3D modeling and rendering software to produce high quality visualizations and design solutions.
