Investment Operations Director

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Leverage your abilities and join the dynamic team of a leading company specializing in Investment & Asset Management. The Director Investment Operations will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities related to investment funds and discretionary portfolio management. This senior leadership role acts as the primary operational liaison with custodians, brokers, and regulators, focusing on driving process automation and ensuring absolute compliance and efficiency across the entire back-office. Key Accountabilities: Operations Management: Oversee complete back-office operations, fund valuations, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, and portfolio transaction processing. Trade Settlement & Cash Flows: Supervise trade execution support, trade settlements, corporate actions, fee accruals, and cash movements. Fund & Account Reconciliation: Manage reconciliation activities for cash, securities, and margins with custodians, brokers, prime brokers, and fund administrators. Reporting & Fact Sheets: Review and approve client statements, periodic investor reports, management reporting packages, and fund fact sheets. Systems Utilization: Generate high-quality internal and external reports utilizing Bloomberg, FIS platforms, and corporate databases. Process Automation: Assist in strategic direction, identifying opportunities for operational process enhancement and system automation. Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Manage key relationships with external service providers, including custodians, fund administrators, auditors, and legal advisors. Account Setup & Documentation: Oversee the onboarding of new execution accounts, custody arrangements, and related legal or tax documentation. Desired Candidate Profile 10 15 years of experience in investment operations, fund administration, or asset management operations. Proven track record of leadership or management within an asset management, brokerage, or financial services firm. Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA, CFA, or CAIA is highly preferred). Extensive knowledge of investment operations, portfolio accounting, NAV calculations, and custody processes. Advanced proficiency in Bloomberg, FIS platforms, and Microsoft Excel. High analytical problem-solving skills, extreme attention to detail, and a focus on operational excellence. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to operate in a fast-paced environment.
