IP Billing Officer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Prepare and generate accurate inpatient bills for discharged patients. Review patient records, treatment details, medications, investigations, and procedures to ensure correct billing. Verify insurance eligibility, approvals, and coverage before final bill preparation. Maintain billing records and documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS). Follow hospital billing policies, insurance regulations, and compliance standards. Reconcile billing reports and assist in month-end financial reporting. Support audits by providing billing records and required documentation. Escalate unresolved billing issues to the Billing Supervisor or Finance Manager. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Diploma or certification in Medical Billing is an added advantage. Possesses 3-5 years of experience in billing or billing processes from healthcare background. Demonstrates proficiency in IP billing software, streamlining billing tasks. Exhibits strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring accuracy.
