Marine Field Inspector

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Conduct thorough on-site inspections of marine vessels, structures, and equipment to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. Perform detailed assessments of vessel conditions, including hull integrity, machinery functionality, and navigational systems, generating comprehensive inspection reports. Evaluate the effectiveness of marine safety management systems and procedures, offering recommendations for improvement to enhance operational safety. Investigate marine incidents and accidents, collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing reports to determine the root causes and contributing factors. Desired Candidate Profile Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field, providing a strong technical foundation. Holds a valid Marine Engineer's license or equivalent certification, demonstrating competence in marine operations and systems. Certified as a Marine Surveyor or Inspector by a recognized maritime organization, showcasing expertise in inspection techniques. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in ship operations, maintenance, or surveying, offering practical knowledge.
