MEP Procurement Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a qualified MEP Procurement Engineer to manage all procurement activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)systems for high-profile construction projects across the UAE. This role requires a strong understanding of UAE market dynamics, vendor sourcing, and compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with project specifications and quality standards. Review project specifications, MEP drawings, and BOQs to determine procurement needs. Prepare, float, and manage RFQs/RFPs for suppliers and subcontractors in the UAE and internationally. Evaluate vendor quotations technically and commercially; prepare comparison sheets and recommendations. Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, delivery timelines, and compliance with contract terms. Ensure all materials comply with Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, ADDC, Civil Defense, and other UAE authority requirements. Liaise with engineering, planning, and site teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines. Identify and qualify new suppliers in the UAE, GCC, and internationally. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues related to delays or non-conformance. Coordinate with logistics teams to manage international shipments, customs clearance (JAFZA, Khalifa Port, etc.), and last-mile delivery. Track and update procurement logs, reports, and documentation for management and audit purposes. Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or standards. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). 7–10 years of relevant MEP procurement experience in the UAE construction sector. Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approvals (DM, DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, etc.). Familiarity with procurement of major MEP systems: HVAC, fire fighting, BMS, lighting, ELV, and plumbing. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
