Project Engineer (Potable Water & Fire Hydrant)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description Desert Man Transporting and Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Potable Water & Fire Hydrant to join our infrastructure division in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have strong UAE experience in potable water networks, fire hydrant systems, and wet utilities infrastructure projects, with the ability to manage site execution, coordinate with consultants and authorities, and ensure successful project delivery within quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage potable water and fire hydrant pipeline installation works Coordinate site activities with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams Ensure execution of works according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules Monitor site progress, productivity, quality, and safety compliance Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with relevant authorities Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals Resolve technical and engineering issues during project execution Ensure proper testing, commissioning, and handover of systems Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 10-15 years of UAE experience in potable water and fire hydrant infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of water transmission/distribution networks and firefighting pipeline systems Experience with DI, HDPE, uPVC, and GRE pipelines preferred Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority standards and approvals Knowledge of pressure testing, chlorination, flushing, and commissioning procedures Strong communication and leadership skills UAE Driving License preferred Immediate joiners will be given preference Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in: Potable water networks Fire hydrant systems Pumping stations Wet utilities infrastructure Valve chambers and tie-ins Network testing & commissioning will be highly preferred. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in potable water and fire hydrant projects.
