REGISTERED NURSE (IVF UNIT)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments specific to IVF protocols, including injections and oral medications, ensuring accuracy and patient safety. Provide comprehensive patient education on IVF procedures, medications, and lifestyle adjustments, empowering patients to actively participate in their treatment. Monitor patients' responses to fertility medications through blood draws and ultrasounds, proactively identifying and addressing any potential complications. Assist physicians during oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring accurate documentation. Coordinate with the IVF team, including physicians, embryologists, and other nurses, to ensure seamless patient care and communication. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their partners throughout the IVF journey, acknowledging the emotional challenges of infertility. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication administration, treatment progress, and any adverse reactions. Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols within the IVF unit. Educate patients on pre and post-procedure care, including dietary recommendations and activity restrictions, supporting patient recovery. Stay updated on the latest advancements in IVF technology and treatment protocols, continuously improving nursing practice and patient outcomes. Desired Candidate Profile Prior experience in an IVF or reproductive endocrinology unit is highly preferred, indicating relevant specialized knowledge. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, showcasing practical experience and adaptability. Possesses a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, demonstrating the foundational qualifications for the role. Demonstrates proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion, ensuring efficient and patient-friendly procedures. Exhibits exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for patient education and team collaboration. Displays strong emotional intelligence, providing empathetic support to patients navigating the emotional challenges of infertility. Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation. Possesses a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in medication administration and patient care. Exhibits a proactive and collaborative approach, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
