Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Safety Policies & Procedures Develop and implement a comprehensive Project Health and Safety Plan (PHSP). Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulations. Establish and communicate site-specific safety rules to all personnel. Develop emergency response procedures and protocols for various scenarios. Safety Inspections & Audits Perform daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions or practices. Conduct weekly and monthly safety audits and prepare detailed reports. Monitor equipment, tools, and machinery for compliance with safety standards. Ensure proper signage, barriers, and safety measures are in place across the site. Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) Conduct risk assessments to evaluate hazards related to all site activities. Develop and maintain a risk register for continuous hazard monitoring. Recommend measures to eliminate or mitigate identified risks. Provide safety guidance for high-risk activities such as confined space entry and working at heights. Safety Training & Awareness Conduct safety orientation sessions for all new personnel on-site. Deliver training on PPE usage, hazard identification, and emergency procedures. Organize toolbox talks prior to the start of daily site activities. Foster a safety-first culture through ongoing communication and awareness campaigns. Incident Reporting & Investigation Establish and manage a reporting system for incidents, near-misses, and accidents. Conduct thorough root cause investigations and prepare actionable reports. Track incidents to identify recurring safety trends and implement preventive measures. Emergency Preparedness & Response Conduct regular emergency drills (fire, evacuation, spill response). Coordinate with local emergency services to establish response protocols. Maintain and inspect emergency equipment including fire extinguishers and first aid kits. Serve as the primary point of contact during on-site emergencies. Compliance Monitoring & Reporting Review site activities regularly to ensure adherence to safety laws and standards. Coordinate with regulatory authorities for inspections and certifications. Prepare and submit compliance reports to clients and stakeholders. PPE Management Identify PPE requirements for various tasks and ensure adequate availability. Train workers on the correct use and maintenance of PPE. Conduct regular inspections to verify consistent PPE compliance across all activities. Safety Documentation Maintain accurate records of all inspections, audits, training sessions, and incidents. Prepare safety performance reports for project stakeholders. Document and archive emergency drill records and compliance certificates. Desired Candidate Profile Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international standards (ISO 45001 / OSHA). Proficiency in conducting HIRA, risk registers, and safety audits. Excellent communication and training delivery skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
