Senior Purchasing Specialist
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Senior Purchasing Specialist is responsible for leading end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of spare parts, materials, and services required to support business operations. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and procurement process optimization while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete procurement cycle from requisition to delivery. Develop sourcing strategies and identify reliable suppliers to meet business requirements. Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and timely deliveries. Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast material requirements and ensure availability. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Resolve supply issues and expedite critical orders when necessary. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures. Prepare procurement reports and support inventory optimization initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or APICS are an advantage. Experience 8–12 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Strong experience managing end-to-end procurement processes. Experience handling spare parts, materials, or technical procurement is preferred. Experience working in Middle East organizations is an advantage. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM is highly desirable. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement. Proven track record in managing complex categories within the manufacturing or technology sectors.
