Senior Salesforce Developer (4-Month Contract) Remote - Octopus by RTG

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team on a 4-month remote contract. The ideal candidate is an experienced Salesforce professional who can seamlessly balance business-as-usual (BAU) support with the delivery of new enhancements. You will play a key role in maintaining platform stability while developing and implementing new features to meet evolving business needs. Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Salesforce applications and existing functionality. Develop, test, and deploy enhancements across the Salesforce platform. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Work closely with business stakeholders, administrators, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support. Ensure solutions follow Salesforce development best practices and coding standards. Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous platform improvements. Maintain technical documentation for new developments and enhancements. Desired Candidate Profile 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience. Strong experience developing custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce platform technologies. Proven experience providing ongoing Salesforce production support (BAU). Experience delivering platform enhancements and new features in a live Salesforce environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience working with Salesforce integrations and APIs is an advantage. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently in a fully remote team. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification. Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Sales Cloud. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.). Experience working in enterprise Salesforce environments.
