Sr. QC Inspector - Mech. / Piping - Walkin Chennai

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Execute comprehensive mechanical and piping quality control inspections for critical project components, ensuring adherence to design specifications and international codes (e.g., ASME, API). Review and approve fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and material test reports (MTRs) to guarantee compliance before and during manufacturing. Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) on piping systems, vessels, and rotating equipment, meticulously documenting all findings. Oversee and witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional testing of equipment and piping, verifying system integrity and performance against project requirements. Desired Candidate Profile Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience as a QC Inspector specifically in Mechanical and Piping disciplines within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry. Valid certifications such as CSWIP 1, ASNT Level II (VT, RT, UT, MT, PT), and API 510/570 are highly advantageous. Proven expertise in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
