Structural Design Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities SaudConsult is currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer with extensive experience in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures for Oil & Gas, Buildings, and Infrastructure projects. The candidate will lead the structural engineering team, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective design solutions in compliance with applicable standards and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Lead structural design activities from concept through detailed design stages. • Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents. • Perform structural analysis and design using STAADPro, ETABS, SAFE, or other recognized tools. • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Standard, international codes ACI, AISC, BS and Saudi Building Code. • Coordinate with architects, mechanical, and electrical teams for multidisciplinary integration. • Prepare design basis reports, load analysis, and design briefs for client approval. • Review and approve shop drawings, vendor documents, and material submittals. • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and monitor their performance. • Support site construction teams in resolving technical issues and providing clarifications. • Participate in design review meetings, client presentations, and value engineering sessions. Desired Candidate Profile Preferred Skills: • Proven expertise in structural design for industrial and high-rise building projects. • Experience in seismic and wind analysis, foundation design, and dynamic loading. • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, Royal Commission, and other local authority standards. • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage team performance and client expectations. • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining design quality.
