Technical Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Gemini Technical Industries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Engineer to join our engineering team at our manufacturing facility in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities Prepare structural calculations using standard structural design software, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards. Support architects and consultants in developing bespoke technical details using AutoCAD and BIM software. Assist the Engineering Department and subcontractors in preparing technical submittals, including structural design packages, material submittals, RFIs, and related documentation for consultant and authority approvals. Provide technical support to the Project Sales team during project execution and bidding stages. Prepare engineering proposals, cost estimates, and detailed cost breakdowns based on project specifications. Ensure all design assumptions used in drywall and ceiling systems comply with project requirements and relevant standards. Maintain and update technical services databases, drawings, and engineering details for efficient project execution and future reference. Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to obtain third-party testing reports, certifications, and technical approvals. Desired Candidate Profile Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within building materials, drywall, ceiling systems, or related industries. Strong knowledge of structural design principles and engineering calculations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software tools. Hands-on experience with: AutoCAD BIM Software STAAD Pro SAP2000 ETABS Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
