TPI Welding Inspector
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a qualified and experienced TPI Welding Inspector to perform third-party inspection activities for welding works in oil & gas, refinery, and petrochemical projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all welding activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Perform third-party inspection (TPI) of welding and fabrication activities at project site and workshop. Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQR). Monitor welding processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures and international standards. Conduct visual inspections and coordinate with NDT personnel for testing (RT, UT, MT, PT). Ensure materials used are as per approved specifications and are properly identified and traceable. Witness and verify fit-up, alignment, preheating, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT). Review and approve inspection reports, test records, and documentation. Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure quality requirements are met. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies at all times. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Diploma or Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering Certifications Mandatory: Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector Certification Additional certifications (preferred): NDT Level II (RT/UT/MT/PT) Experience Minimum 6 to 8 years of inspection experience Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Petrochemical industries Experience in third-party inspection (TPI) activities is highly preferred Immediate joiners preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS) Good understanding of welding processes and inspection techniques Ability to interpret engineering drawings and isometrics Strong reporting and documentation skills Good communication and coordination skills Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Working Conditions Site-based role across Abu Dhabi OR Northern Emirates (Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah) Valid UAE driving license for Northern Emirates based Inspector.
