HSE Officer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE: To ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. The HSE Officer is responsible for compliance with local regulations, risk assessments, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture within the company. Roles and Responsibilities Implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and standards across the facility. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Monitor workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports. Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct HSE induction and training sessions for employees and contractors. Promote safety awareness campaigns and programs. Maintain documentation and records of HSE activities and incidents. Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities. Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding safety compliance. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. NEBOSH / OSHA or equivalent HSE certification required. Experience and Skills 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience in industrial/manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation. Good reporting and documentation skills. Strong communication and training skills. Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems. Bilingual (Arabic & English) preferred. Core Competencies Attention to detail and strong observation skills. Risk management and problem-solving. Leadership in safety culture promotion. Communication and interpersonal effectiveness. Integrity and compliance mindset. Teamwork and collaboration.
