Senior Power & Energy Design Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed engineering designs for power and energy projects. Design substations, transformer stations, switchgear buildings, and utility facilities. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation. Develop single line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, cable sizing, and protection coordination studies. Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, and MEP teams. Prepare authority submission packages and support project approvals. Review shop drawings and contractor submissions. Participate in technical meetings with clients and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with international standards and local utility requirements. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Power & Energy Design Engineer to join our growing engineering consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and preparation of engineering drawings and technical documentation for power generation, substations, renewable energy, and utility infrastructure projects. Preferred Experience: Transmission & Distribution Systems. Solar PV Power Plants. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). High Voltage Substations (11kV, 33kV, 132kV, 220kV and above). Power Generation Facilities. Grid Connection Studies. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in power and energy design projects. Experience in Substations, Power Plants, Solar Energy Projects, or Utility Infrastructure. Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and utility standards. Experience with ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, EPLAN or equivalent software. Experience in preparing tender and construction drawings. Knowledge of Abu Dhabi utility requirements is an advantage.
