Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Company: Desert Man Transporting & Contracting LLC (DMTC) Job Type: Full-Time Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Job Summary Desert Man Transporting & Contracting LLC (DMTC), a leading infrastructure, roadworks, transportation, and civil construction company in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a qualified and experienced Lab Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory and field testing of construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct laboratory and field tests on soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, road base, and other construction materials. Perform sampling, testing, and analysis in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and project specifications. Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare laboratory reports. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers, Material Engineers, and Site Engineers regarding test schedules and results. Ensure all testing activities comply with project quality requirements and safety regulations. Monitor material compliance and report any non-conformance issues. Assist in field inspections and material approvals when required. Maintain laboratory housekeeping and ensure proper storage of samples and records. Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Material Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience as a Lab Technician in infrastructure, roadworks, earthworks, or civil construction projects. Strong knowledge of soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing procedures. Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and Municipality standards. Experience working in an approved construction materials laboratory is preferred. Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain testing records.
