Airport Civil Design Engineer Specialist

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Design & Technical Development Develop concept and detailed civil/structural designs for airport-related infrastructure projects. Prepare and review engineering drawings, layouts, sections, and technical details. Design and coordinate civil works including buildings, pavements, drainage, and utility infrastructure. Ensure compliance with GCAA, ICAO, UAE Civil Defence, and Municipality regulations. Scope & Specification Development Prepare detailed Scope of Work (SoW) documents for CAPEX projects. Develop technical specifications for: Civil and Structural Works Runway, Taxiway & Apron Rehabilitation Cargo Buildings & Industrial Facilities Hangars and Support Infrastructure Define performance-based requirements and material specifications. Conduct site inspections and verify contractor compliance with approved standards. Tender & Contract Documentation Prepare RFPs and Tender Documentation. Develop Employer's Requirements for Design & Build projects. Assist in preparing: FIDIC-based contracts Special Conditions of Contract Technical Compliance Matrices Support tender evaluation and contractor selection processes. BOQ & Cost Estimation Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Develop cost estimates and rate analysis. Review contractor quotations and commercial submissions. Technical Review & Coordination Review contractor designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions. Participate in pre-bid meetings and tender evaluations. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Reporting & Documentation Prepare technical reports, design briefs, and concept notes. Maintain project documentation and records. Support submissions to authorities such as GCAA and Civil Defense. Prepare construction progress reports based on site inspections.
