Facilities Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities 1. Supervise and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). 2. Conduct routine site inspections and audits to assess system functionality, safety compliance, governmental statutory and maintenance quality. 3. Carries out quality audits (ISO 9001/ 45001/ 14001/ 41001) to comply with company & governmental quality and sustainability goals 4. Oversee service providers and ensure work is carried out as per contract terms, KPIs, and safety standards. 5. Carried out safety audits (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) to meet company, employee and governmental safety compliance and statutory requirements 6. Monitor performance of critical assets; maintain equipment logs, AMC records, warranties, and spare part inventories. 7. Support fit-outs, renovations, refurbishments, development and infrastructure upgrade projects in coordination with consultants and vendors. 8. Organize mock drills and review associated cause and effect matrix 9. Support in handover & defect liability period management 10. Assist in preparing property budgets, capex forecasts, maintenance logs, snagging, inspections, cost control 11. Propose and implement energy-saving solutions and cost-efficient engineering practices. 12. Ensure facilities meet all local authority requirements (e.g., Civil Defense, DEWA/SEWA, Municipality). Monitor safety systems like fire alarms, emergency lighting, and elevators. Provide proactive maintenance advice and recommendations for renovations and replacements as required Project mobilization activities including asset collection, snagging and conditional assessment Managing staff productivity levels and scheduling of personnel resources 16. Guide and support technicians, and facility supervisors with daily operations and technical troubleshooting. 17. Prepare monthly maintenance reports, incident logs, asset performance reviews, and project updates for management. 18. Respond to facility emergencies promptly and ensure proper follow-up and reporting on incidents. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering. 7–10 years of experience in facilities or building engineering, including at least 2–3 years in a senior/supervisory capacity. Experience managing mix of high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, villa and residential communities is preferred. Good understanding of UAE/local authority codes and standards.
