Mechanical Engineer Facilities Management (MEP Systems)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities · Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance and operational suitability. · Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance procedures. · Support refurbishment, renovation, and system upgrade works in live facilities. · Support testing, commissioning, balancing, and performance verification of HVAC systems. Contractor Management, Compliance, Reporting & Cost Control · Supervise technicians, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery. · Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with SLAs, safety standards, and quality requirements. · Monitor SLAs and KPIs to ensure maintenance standards and contractual obligations are met. · Evaluate contractor performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions. · Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, including LOTO procedures and safe working practices. · Prepare maintenance reports, inspection reports, asset reports, and technical documentation. · Support budgeting and cost control activities, tracking maintenance expenditure and identifying optimization opportunities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. 8+ years of experience in Facilities Management or Building Services Maintenance. Strong hands-on experience in HVAC operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Good knowledge of plumbing, fire protection, and building services systems. Experience in live operational environments with high service standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience in contractor management and multi-site maintenance coordination. Familiarity with CMMS, BMS systems, and preventive maintenance practices. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
