Accountant – Contracting only

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Oversee job costing and track project budgets, costs, and profitability for multiple active construction projects Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Process billing and manage subcontractor payments and lien waivers Monitor and manage WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules and over/under billing reports Assist with payroll processing, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects where applicable Ensure compliance with tax regulations, construction contracts, and internal financial controls Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and track change orders Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors Maintain and improve accounting procedures specific to construction operations Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a construction or contracting company in Dubai. Deep knowledge of UAE VAT laws and project-based accounting systems. Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or ERP systems. Fluent in English. Immediate joiners will be given preference.
