QA QC Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all waterproofing works are carried out in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, method statements, material submittals and quality standards. The role includes monitoring site quality, conducting inspections, maintaining QA/QC documentation, coordinating approvals, and supporting the project team in achieving quality, safety and project delivery objectives. Key Tasks: Prepare, implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for waterproofing works. Conduct inspections of waterproofing applications, including membranes, coatings, PU injection, PU foam and related systems. Review project specifications, drawings, material submittals and approved technical documents. Prepare Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, checklists and quality reports. Coordinate with consultants, clients and project teams for inspections, approvals and site clearances. Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved quality standards and project requirements. Conduct material receiving inspections and verify that materials delivered to site comply with approved submittals and project specifications. Maintain proper records of inspections, test reports, material approvals, NCRs and corrective actions. Identify quality issues at site and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Monitor waterproofing work progress and ensure that quality requirements are met before proceeding to the next stage of work. Inspect surface preparation, application methodology, curing, protection and finishing of waterproofing works. Coordinate site testing, third-party testing and other quality verification activities as required. Support the project team in closing consultant/client comments and inspection observations. Monitor material consumption and verify usage against approved quantities, project requirements and invoice details. Review and support documentation required for billing, approvals and project handover. Ensure that all QA/QC documentation is properly filed and available for review when required. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure product quality and compliance with approved systems. Assist in preparing quality-related reports for management and project stakeholders. Support project teams in achieving quality objectives, project milestones and client satisfaction. Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management System. Perform any additional duties as requested by the line manager within the scope of the position. QA/QC: Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management System and approved project quality requirements. Ensure that waterproofing works are inspected, tested and documented in accordance with approved ITPs, specifications and method statements. Report non-conformities, quality concerns and site deviations to the Project Manager / QA/QC Manager. Undertake any additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager commensurate with the position. Desired Candidate Profile Essential Skills and Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Basic knowledge of Quantity Surveying, including measurement, material consumption tracking, BOQ review and invoice verification. Experience in QA/QC activities related to waterproofing, construction or civil works. Knowledge of waterproofing systems such as membranes, coatings, PU injection, PU foam and related applications. Ability to read and understand project drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals. Knowledge of inspection procedures, ITPs, NCRs, quality reports and site documentation. Good coordination and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including MS Office. Ability to monitor material consumption and support invoice verification. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in waterproofing projects. Knowledge of construction quality standards and site inspection procedures. Experience coordinating with consultants, clients and third-party testing agencies. Knowledge of material approvals, technical submittals and project handover documentation. Ability to work independently at project sites and report clearly to management.
