Welding Engineer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Immediately Required We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer to oversee and support welding and fabrication activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and client requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing welding procedures, supporting fabrication operations, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the highest standards of welding quality and productivity. Position:- Welding Engineer Industry:- Oil & Gas Location:- Onshore Fabrication Yard Duration:- Long Term Experience Required:- Minimum 12 Years Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related discipline. Certified International Welding Engineer (IWE) and/or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) preferred. Strong experience in oil & gas fabrication projects, particularly within onshore fabrication yards. Desired Candidate Profile Develop, review, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT). Ensure welding activities comply with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. Monitor fabrication and welding operations to ensure quality, productivity, and safety standards. Coordinate with QA/QC, production, and client representatives regarding welding-related matters. Provide technical support for welding processes, consumables selection, and welding repairs. Review NDT reports and resolve welding quality issues. Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, API, and ISO. Lead welding qualification programs and support audits and inspections. Required Skills: Extensive experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, piping, structural steel, and oil & gas modules. Thorough knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API standards, and welding metallurgy. Experience managing welders and welding supervisors in a fabrication yard environment. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Experience: GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience. Experience working with EPC contractors and major clients such as Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, or Qatar Energy.
