Business Development Manager
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities in Power & Energy, EPC, Transmission & Distribution sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, utility authorities, and key stakeholders. Generate leads and secure project opportunities from government and private sector clients. Promote company capabilities in substations, transmission lines, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects. Develop strategic plans to achieve business growth and revenue targets. Conduct market research and competitor analysis within the UAE market. Maintain regular client visits and business meetings to strengthen partnerships. Monitor upcoming tenders, EOIs, RFQs, and project announcements. Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and commercial teams during bid preparation. Review tender requirements and support preparation of technical and commercial proposals. Participate in prequalification submissions and vendor registrations with utility authorities. Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with clients. Support management in strategic bid/no-bid decisions. Develop relationships with key utility authorities such as ADNOC, TAQA/TRANSCO, ADDC, AADC, EWEC, and other regional clients. Identify partnership opportunities, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. Track market trends, investment plans, and upcoming infrastructure developments. Maintain CRM records, sales pipelines, and business opportunity reports. Support pricing strategy and commercial positioning for competitive bidding. Coordinate with project execution teams to ensure smooth client handover after project award. Prepare monthly business development reports, forecasts, and management presentations. Assist in long-term business planning and market expansion initiatives. Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and ethical business practices. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. MBA or commercial certifications are an advantage. Minimum 15 years of experience in business development within Power & Energy or EPC industries. Strong experience in Transmission & Distribution and substation projects. Proven track record of securing EPC projects in UAE market. Existing relationships with utility authorities and major clients preferred. Experience working with EPC contractors, utility companies, or infrastructure developers.
