Chemist - Construction material

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive chemical analysis of raw materials and finished construction products to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Develop and optimize chemical formulations for new construction materials, focusing on enhancing performance, durability, and sustainability. Perform quality control testing on cement, concrete, asphalt, coatings, and adhesives, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions. Investigate material failures and defects, utilizing advanced analytical techniques to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related chemical engineering field. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in chemical analysis and formulation within the construction materials sector. Proficiency in analytical instrumentation such as spectroscopy (AAS, ICP, FTIR), chromatography (GC, HPLC), and wet chemistry techniques. Strong understanding of material science principles as applied to cementitious materials, polymers, coatings, and adhesives.
