Government Relations Officer
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Government Relations Officer (GRO) to support operations in Saudi Arabia. The role will be responsible for managing and facilitating interactions between the organization and government entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and overseeing the processing of official documentation related to employees and company operations. Liaison with Government Entities Maintain professional relationships with government offices, ministries, and regulatory bodies. Represent the company in meetings and official communications with Saudi government authorities. Regulatory Compliance Ensure the organization complies with Saudi laws, regulations, and administrative procedures. Manage the renewal and updating of company licenses, permits, and legal documentation. Government Documentation Process visa applications, work permits, Iqama issuance, and renewals. Facilitate registrations of contracts, certifications, and other official documentation with relevant authorities. Problem Resolution Address and resolve government-related issues, penalties, or disputes affecting the organization. Monitoring Legislation Stay up to date with Saudi labor laws, visa processes, and regulatory changes that may impact business operations. Advisory & Reporting Provide guidance to management regarding local regulations and governmental procedures. Maintain records of government transactions and prepare periodic reports. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience Saudi national (required as per regulations). Minimum 7–10 years of experience in a similar Government Relations or PRO role. Valid Saudi driving license. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of Saudi labor laws, visa processes, and government procedures. Experience using government portals such as Muqeem, Qiwa, and Absher. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard administrative software. Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. High attention to detail in handling documentation. Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials. Additional Willingness to travel at short notice to address urgent government-related matters.
