Hollowcore Unit Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY Reporting to the General Manager, the Hollowcore Unit manager is responsible for the effective overall day to day organization, operation and management of all aspects of the Hollowcore Business Unit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES In line with the requirements of Senior Management, manage, monitor and develop, sales & receivable collection, reporting staff, processes, system, lines of communication, Health & Safety, ISO procedures and staff training as below: Manage and develop all reporting unit staff. Delegating where appropriate to reporting unit staff, manage ongoing planning & scheduling of all factory production and site erection operations to meet agreed customer sales requirements, in a cost effective manner. Working with dedicated unit sales staff and central sales department, maximize unit sales within pricing policies or target prices that may be prescribed from time to time by senior / executive management. Monitor and manage collection of invoiced receivables on a timely basis and monitor ongoing status of customer credit accounts against authorized and agreed credit facilities. Manage and control all areas of departmental costs and spending, within budgeted levels. Ensure effective administration of the department and timely reporting of production, sales and other statistics as per company requirement. Utilizing dedicated maintenance staff, central workshops and where necessary, external companies, develop and maintain effective preventive maintenance programs for all plant, equipment and transport, to ensure maximum working availability, minimum operating costs and downtime. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to generally enhance business growth and levels of customer satisfaction. Represent the company at all levels and ensure that all business dealings are conducted in an ethical and transparent manner. With the assistance and guidance of the company safety officer, manage and when necessary, enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures. It should be noted that it is an express responsibility of all departmental / unit managers to afford all staff under their control, with a safe working environment, regardless of their working discipline or work location. 11. Monitor and maintain product quality and ensure departmental compliance with ISO principles and Procedures, including further development of procedures to bring about ongoing improvements in product and service standards. Liaise and attend meetings with other company managers, as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development. Monitor and report on market developments and trends, competitor activity and other related information that could be of assistance to the company. EXTENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Hollowcore Unit Manager will report to the General Manager and Executive Management. The job function extends to all Hollowcore activities, whether carried out on, or outside company premises. HSE RESPONSIBILITIES To implement the health and safety policies that is relevant to the activities within their department. Develop health and safety objectives and get the approval from top management To maintain the incident investigation report ARM-HSE-T-046 for the department and share copies of accident to the HSE team Ensure accident/incident reporting and investigation and share the information with HSE team Create culture of HSE requirements and ensure TBT is being conducted by supervisor / operators Verify and monitor TBT execution and records To provide relevant HSE information and training to staff To ensure appropriate emergency procedures are in place for departmental activities, facilities and are practised as necessary To ensure that hazard identification and management is effective and documentation is maintained To raise hazard management issues to top management where the issue cannot be managed at the departmental level or is likely to have implications for the wider range in the organization Keep updating root cause and corrective action on ARM-HSE-T-020 HSE Improvement points, when receive from HSE team and share with HSE team To provide reports to the HSE committee/HSE team/top management on health and safety progress Attend monthly HSE meeting and share progresses of HSE implementation To complete hazard identification and maintain hazards sheet including periodic reviews and updating.
