Project Engineer with Fit-out Works experience

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in interior fit-out and finishing works to support the successful execution of commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, monitoring project progress, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the project team in delivering projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing fit-out projects. Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Monitor project schedules and track progress against milestones. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets project requirements. Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules. Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Review and verify subcontractor work progress and invoices. Support project cost control and variation management processes. Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required. Ensure timely completion of snagging and project handover activities. Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Experience 3–8 years of experience in construction and interior fit-out projects. Proven experience in commercial, office, retail, hospitality, or residential fit-out works. Experience in UAE/GCC fit-out projects is preferred. Desired Candidate Profile Technical Skills Strong understanding of fit-out construction methods, finishes, and MEP coordination. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Knowledge of project planning and scheduling. Proficiency in: AutoCAD Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements. Soft Skills Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
