Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civil)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for commercial building projects. This role ensures cost control, contract administration, and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies to final account settlement. The Senior Quantity Surveyor works closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Desired Candidate Profile Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies during the design and pre-construction phases. Conduct cost benchmarking and value engineering to optimize project budgets. Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and contract specifications. Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure alignment with the budget. Evaluate and resolve contractor claims, variations, and disputes. Conduct regular financial reviews and provide accurate cost-to-completion reports. Manage all contractual matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Identify potential risks and cost implications, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies. Prepare final accounts, ensuring all financial and contractual matters are resolved. Collaborate with auditors to provide project financial documentation.
