Sales Engineer - Diaphragm and Piston Pumps
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Sales Growth and Business Development Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for air-operated diaphragm pumps and piston pumps. Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent business growth. Identify and secure new customer accounts across targeted industries. Promote product solutions and value propositions to increase market penetration and revenue. Key Account Management Act as the primary point of contact for key customers within the assigned territory. Build strong relationships with customers at operational, technical, and management levels. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through exceptional service and support. Generate repeat business opportunities and long-term partnerships. Commercial and Technical Sales Support Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements. Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and solution discussions. Negotiate contracts and commercial terms while maintaining target profit margins. Follow up on quotations and opportunities to maximize conversion rates. Market Intelligence and Industry Awareness Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities. Stay informed about industry regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly within the Oil and Gas sector. Share market insights and business opportunities with internal stakeholders. Operational Excellence Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and procedures. Work closely with Finance to monitor and minimize outstanding customer payments. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and customer records. Required Skills to Be Successful Strong customer relationship management and account development skills. Excellent knowledge of air-operated diaphragm pumps and piston pumps. Strong technical sales and solution-selling capabilities. Ability to prepare and present effective technical and commercial proposals. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and growth. Ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities and priorities. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience specifically within air-operated diaphragm pumps and piston pumps. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities. Experience working with customers in industries such as Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Engineering Procurement and Construction, or Industrial Manufacturing. Strong understanding of technical and commercial proposal preparation. Knowledge of Engineering Procurement and Construction processes and Oil and Gas industry regulations. Valid United Arab Emirates driving license.
